EBS 2017

22-23 May 2017 - Brussels

2,200 Participants attended the European Business Summit this year, where 200 speakers distributed over 50 Sessions discussed the future of Europe.

Economic and social progress in Europe over the past 60 years has been unprecedented and the European Union is, undeniably, the main force behind it. With 7,3 % of the world population it generates 22% of the world GDP and accounts for 40% of global public expenditures in social protection. Europe is clearly one of the best places in the world to live and work. But the European Union is also going through difficult times, with protectionism and skepticism towards the EU on the rise, and huge challenges, ahead: security threats, growth and employment challenges, difficult Brexit negotiations, skepticism about trade in parts of civil society, migration pressures, etc.

ETRA attended the most topical and interesting sessions and the networking events, where we had the possibility to make some interesting contacts with Researches, Tyre Producers, Associations, among others.
