On 15-16 May 2024 RE-PLAN CITY LIFE Team attended the FORUM BUYGREEN in Rome. It was a two days events during which we networked and presented the project to the many Stakeholders involved.

On  16 May 2024 at 11.30 Sabina Nicolella from Ecosistemi run a WORLD CAFÉ dedicated to Recycled Tyre Materials (RTMs). A selected group of participants both from Italy and abroad, involved in tyre recycling value chain or anyway motivated to contributed to it with their professional background, took part o it.

The high quality of delegates made possible to have a lively, interesting discussions on the obstacles that limits the diffusion of RTMs and the identify some possible tools that the project could develop.

In addition to Ecosistemi who organized the event, ETRA, POLITO and UNITO animated the discussion groups.

Forum Buygreen is the reference event in Europe for public and private Green Procurement policies, projects, goods and services. An international event that annually brings together the main players involved in the dissemination and implementation of sustainable procurement of goods and services and in building the right development models for the ecological transition.

The Forum was important to promote Replan and raise awareness on RTMs, but also gave us the opportunity to increase our understanding of GPP implementation in Italy.

According to the VII Report 2024 presented at the Forum "The numbers of Green Public Procurement in Italy" of the Green Procurement Observatory of Legambiente and Ecosistemi Foundation it comes out that eight years after their entry into force, the performance of PA in the implementation of policies necessary for the GPP and on the adoption of CAM is on average 62% only. Alarm bell also on the monitoring of purchases: only 17% of contracting authorities carry out checks on the correct use of the tool. The good news is that for 98% of public administrations, knowledge of GPP is a policy considered necessary for its correct application. We could say that there is a positive willing but quite lot of work to do, also for Replan.
