On 21 October ETRA held a lesson on Tyre Recycling and cooperation opportunities for Public Administration at the online training module organized by EIPA (European Institute of Public Administration). The course was addressed to delegates of ACI, the Vehicle Italian Body. ACI in 2011 put in place an efficient platform for the management of EOL tyres deriving from vehicle dismantling, which is focused on material recycling.

The online course included lessons on European decision-making processes, on the European agenda of relevance to ACI and on the European budget as well as on Community programs and projects. The course also includes interactive sessions of practical exercises on community dynamics with exercises to be done individually and in groups on the Zoom platform. Speakers from the European institutions and interest representatives in Brussels will also speak. Purpose of the course are:

  • Get to know the EU institutions
  • Understand the decision-making processes of ACI relevance
  • Integrate the European political agenda and ACI policies of interest
  • Know the EU budget, programs, and projects
  • Understanding how to present a European project.

ETRA made an overview of tyre recycling in Europe, the projects carried out and the opportunities for new projects.
