Vision 2017

ETRA Attends Vision 2017

6-7 June 2017– London

On 6 June Vision 2017 opened its doors for the third annual exposition on the built environment. The event gathered some of the best architects, designers, researchers, manufacturers and suppliers from across the UK and Europe, for two days of CPD-certified learning and networking. Over 150 speakers and more than 200 exhibitors, all of very high quality made this event really interesting. Exhibitions and seminars were the key highlights including results from research on the Circular Economy, new technologies, international projects, new materials and recycled materials.

This year Vision also partnered with various international trade authorities from countries across Europe, bucking the Brexit trend. Some of the States included Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Latvia and the Czech Republic. These countries were represented at the event through a number of pavilions, each housing multiple participants. Live demonstrations and networking provided opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with UK and continental counterparts. RTM's were widely represented with a major focus on noise abatement and insulation. A new company from Latvia was highlighted, demonstrating its production of high quality recycled rubber tiles with an innovative and elegant design.

Magazines from the sector, professional organisations and Universities were there and were showed considerable interest in ETRA's projects and programmes for the autumn and the 25th Anniversary year (September 2017 through 2018). ETRA was involved in a series of B2B meetings to promote the sector and disseminate its projects to a qualified and interested audience.
